Appeal Filed
Clean Water Accountability Coalition files appeal to State Supreme Court for Commissioner Al French cover-up of water poisoning.
New Evidence
New evidence reveals Commissioner Al French lied, has known about poisoned drinking water for seven years.
What Happened
In early 2020, local environmental officials called on French to support funding to clean up the water supply of Airway Heights and West Plains after “forever chemicals” (PFAS) from the airport polluted their drinking water. French denied the request, prioritizing the business interests of the Spokane airport over his constituents’ lives.
In light of Commissioner French’s cover up of a public health crisis and his conflict of interest as an airport board member, we are demanding accountability and believe this to be a blatant violation of his oath of office and responsibility to constituents.
Al French’s PFAS pipe dream
After years of silence on West Plains ‘forever chemicals’ — and with an election looming — County Commissioner Al French has promised to pipe water to ‘everybody’ with a contaminated well, but his plan is thin on detail. Meanwhile, he’s known about the contamination since 2017.
